The last day of the Paris fashion week was marked by the Zadig & Voltaire show at the Palais de Tokyo. Affordable ready-to-wear is now a fixture of fashion week, with the brand for the first time an integral part of the official catwalk calendar given by the Fédération Française de la Couture.
A collection faithful to the lines and style of Zadig & Voltaire, whose famous Tunisians we were crazy about back in high school (four years ago for me), giving us a bit of a pseudo-rebel rock edge. The show featured pieces predominantly in white, black and a hint of scarlet. The red/black grunge trend is reminiscent of the Saint Laurent Paris shows. Boyish styling was the order of the day, with blazers and bow ties, in short, a girly silhouette without the silliness. Plenty of leather, and THE trend for next summer, in both men’s and women’s wardrobes: Bermuda shorts, which are enjoying their chic heyday.
Zadig & Voltaire’s stock is now soaring!
