Moncler Genius is a dynamic project, in perpetual motion, made up of complementary and different elements that become the chapters of a story and the platform for a creative adventure that looks to the future, finding its best expression in The House of Genius ephemeral stores in New York and Toyko.
Opened in October and scheduled to run until the end of 2018, the two The House of Genius concept stores in New York and Tokyo have been conceived as interactive spaces animated by a variety of activities. The House of Genius, redefines the very concept of retail space by establishing a direct link with the urban context in which it is inserted and presenting an exceptional Moncler experience, featuring all MONCLER Genius collections as well as unique creations developed in collaboration with the project’s designers.
These special objects, expressing the creative synopsis of Moncler Genius, will be available only in the Moncler Genius Buildings in New York and Tokyo. Limited-edition products of extremely rich value and personality, such as vinyl by Oscar-winning Frenchman Alexandre Desplat commissioned by Pierpaolo Piccioli and long-sleeved gloves from the 1 Moncler Pierpaolo Piccioli collection;vintage down patchwork blankets from the 2 Moncler 1952 collection; boots and jewelry by Simone Rocha that are at once retro-romantic and resolutely pragmatic;colorful ski helmets from 3 Moncler Grenoble. Craig Greena delved into the masculine British tradition of shoe manufacturer Grenson, while Hiroshi Fujiwara focused on a limited-edition snowboarding book produced in collaboration with Burton. A skateboard, a bag and an anti-pollution mask, accompanied by a book, are Francesco Ragazzi’s viral declination for Palm Angels, with the Make It Rain umbrella, with an aerodynamic shape capable of floating in the wind. Greeting cards designed by Ham and decorations for the Christmas tree in fine porcelain created by designer Reiko Kaneko. Finally, the look of the Moncler Genius collections is embodied in a set of collectible mini-dolls.
In addition, TheYellow collection has been introduced to enliven Moncler boutiques and moncler.com, featuring a number of unique and cult limited-edition items with yellow and black in common. The two colors were selected for the communication and specific packaging of Moncler Genius. These include teeshirts, down laptop sleeves, knitted hats, a banana and a down jacket.
