A Bunch of Designers: six young brands put to the test of selling

Until 17 October, six designers supported by AZ Academy are presenting their first commercial collections in the Marais. The event links workshop craft to the reality of the market.

A prototype can convince a jury without yet being a collection that can be sold. A Bunch of Designers takes that step at Heureux les Curieux, 23 rue du Pont aux Choux in Paris. The pop-up announced by Richemont brings together six designers from 30 September to 17 October 2026.

Showing the work and selling the pieces

Brais Albor, Merle Breuker, Sandra Jao, Liwen Liang, Manon Marcelot and Caterina Moro are presenting their first commercial collections there. The programme combines sales with demonstrations: pattern-making, embroidery on interchangeable elements, the AiryString application, kintsugi, small leather goods and the digitisation of natural forms intended for prints.

Visitors can thus encounter distinct practices in a single place. This proximity gives the demonstration a concrete role: explaining what decisions about materials and manufacture a product involves, just as its price becomes visible too.

After training, the confrontation with the market

The six designers were selected in December 2025 at the end of AZ Academy’s first cohort. This twelve-month programme covers finance, pricing, production and distribution, among other subjects. The initiative extends this learning through to commercialisation.

Success will therefore not be measured only by footfall at the pop-up. Orders, the ability to deliver and the maintenance of a brand identity will be more demanding indicators. Richemont has not yet communicated any sales results: the event is a test, whose effects remain to be observed.
