In 2016, Montblanc reinterpreted its Rouge et Noir collection by embellishing the former model with contemporary touches,
such as a slimmer, more elongated silhouette and refined writing elements for an even more luxurious experience.

Today, the Montblanc Heritage Rouge & Noir collection welcomes two new editions: Héritage Rouge & Noir Special Edition Tropic Brown and Héritage Rouge & Noir Solitaire Serpent Limited Edition 1906.

The Montblanc Heritage Rouge & Noir Special Edition Tropic Brown is a visual reference to one of the rare color variants offered by the Maison at the beginning of the 20th century.
The new brown resin of the cap and lacquered body is an interpretation of the traditional tropical color,
a patina obtained by natural aging under the sun and humidity of the tropics, also found
in the aged hue of ebonite, a plant material originally black in color, of the old Montblanc writing instruments.
A champagne-gold snake wraps around the top of the cap to form the clasp.
The snake motif is also featured on the hand-crafted 14 K gold nib.

The Solitaire Serpent Limited Edition 1906 is inspired by a historic Montblanc writing instrument in metal and gold dating from 1922-1932.
The original writing instrument featured a chased silver body and cap.
The chasing technique has been used again on this new limited edition, superbly engraved with a snake on the platinum-plated metal surface.
The snake clip, with its garnet eyes and champagne-colored gold attributes, contrasts with the writing instrument’s brushed, platinum-plated surface.
