Two and a half years after opening its doors on Place Vendôme, L’ÉCOLE Van Cleef & Arpels, driven by a desire to share and pass on knowledge, continues to expand its range of products.
Inaugurated in February 2012, under the impetus of its President Marie Vallanet-Delhom, L’ECOLE Van Cleef & Arpels stood out for its innovative course program, designed to lift the veil on the highly secretive worlds of Jewellery and Watchmaking. Its ambition: to help students understand the soul of these exceptional crafts, to enable them to master the gesture through personal experience, to educate the hand, the taste and the eye thanks to passionate experts. Art historians, virtuoso craftsmen, experienced jewelers, gemologists, master watchmakers and time historians share their knowledge with audiences from all over the world.
Since its opening, L’ECOLE Van Cleef & Arpels has welcomed more than 2,200 students of some thirty nationalities, lovers of beauty and discerning amateurs. The program offers 15 courses in French and English, each lasting 4 hours. They are divided into three themes: Art History (€300 incl. VAT), Savoir-Faire and the World of Stones (€600 incl. VAT). Each course accepts a maximum of 12 students.
A new 2-hour introductory course, “Premiers pas en Joaillerie” (€100 incl. VAT, special student rate €50 incl. VAT), as well as online videos and themed conferences, complete the program.
