During a make-up workshop, we had the chance to discover and test Lancôme’s brand new mascara: Grandiose.
The appointment took place at the Lancôme institute, located in the Madeleine district, faubourg saint honoré.

Audrey, one of the team’s make-up artists, took charge of us straight away, explaining how the session would unfold and getting us ready…
First of all, a skin diagnosis is carried out, which is necessary for the choice of facial treatments to be applied day and night.
Here Audrey has chosen to apply the Advanced Generique serum, with its anti-aging and repairing properties.

Then the eye contour treatment, Généfique Yeux Light Pearl, was applied to make the eyes look more awake and luminous.

Once the base has been applied, the next step is to make up the complexion: in this case, with Idole ultra 10 foundation, a light, fluid substance with rather medium coverage.

Imperfections were camouflaged with Pro Corrector in shade 400.

To perfect the complexion and give the face a healthy glow, Audrey chose to use a very pink blush, bordering on fuchsia: Subtil blush in shade 032.

For the eyes, the make-up was a little busier, as we had decided to keep the mouth in nude shades with Lip Lover 314 gloss. Audrey intensified the hollow of the eyelid for a more defined look with Hypnose M305 shadow, set over a base applied to the eyelid beforehand.

To finish off the eye make-up, Grandiose mascara was applied after curling the lashes, a necessary but optional step.

One of the most striking features is the “swan-neck” shape of the wand, which simply adapts to the shape of the face, making application easier
. Another is the little brush with its tiny spikes, which picks up lashes at the root from one corner of the eye to the other, creating volume without clumping with a zigzagging motion during application.

Grandiose? Yes, this mascara lives up to its name.

Thanks to Audrey from the Lancôme Institute.
