Facet balls, neons, sequins and pop colors, disco fever took hold of Loris Azzaro Couture’s flagship designers for Fall-Winter 2015-2016.

To honor this era of elegance, Maison Loris Azzaro Couture is taking a leap back in time to bring back a trend that’s impossible to forget. Disco is a true art of living. Luxury and hedonism are the watchwords of this timeless movement. And it’s in this vein that its artistic directors have designed this collection.

Alvaro Castejon and Arnaud Maillard form an audacious duo, bringing interesting creative harmony to the Maison Loris Azzaro Couture. These young designers have been trained well. Karl Lagerfeld is a master of his art. To be taken under his wing is a privilege. Their backgrounds are dotted with a wealth of experience gained at houses such as Oscar de la Renta and Givenchy, and their work is sure to surprise.

What’s the aim of this collection? To give these figure-lengthening cuts a provocative edge.

How do you do it? A fusion of vintage tropical prints and vertical bands of crystals in shades of black gold plays cleverly with light. Lurex zebra stripes in fuchsia pink or bright orange electrify jacquard dresses and long coats. Jeweled cuffs complete the fantasy of 70s opulence. On a long dress, the lines of a sheath contrast with the rounded volume of a cape in the back. Trapeze dresses with plain or printed thigh-high boots are accentuated by a plunging triangular shape. Lightweight materials give pleated skirts an obvious cadence. And let’s not forget embroidered jumpsuits, which were a major asset during the disco period. Today, their importance is such that it makes sense to have one in your closet.

In conclusion, it’s a funky winter that we’ll be enjoying thanks to Loris Azzaro Couture.
