For summer 2016, Tiger of Sweden is putting aside its classics to turn to the casual and urban.Favorite of London’s men’s fashion week: Sankuanz. Behind this Chinese label is a 31-year-old designer, Zhe Shangguan, who gives his own version of the man through a wardrobe blending the traditional and the modern. Fluid, loose silhouettes, baggy Bermuda shorts worn over a shirt and a light, transparent jacket, arty prints that are both psychedelic and pixelated. We’re reminded of the Hip Hop culture coming out of the USA, with designers like Hood by Air and Craig Green. This new genre blends street culture with the desire for a comfortable, unisex wardrobe. Sankuanz is sponsored for the third time by GQ China to parade during London Fashion Week, and was also a semi-finalist in this year’s LVMH Prize.
