Sandals unveils its new resort on the island of Curaçao and presents its new products and programs.-

Sandals Royal Curaçao opened its doors on June 1, reinventing the way travelers discover the Dutch Caribbean. The hotel is introducing entirely new and innovative ways to explore this charming island, while encouraging guests to discover local life through partnerships, reinforcing the company’s approach to tourism and its impact on the ecosystem.
“Our vision for the Sandals Royal Curaçao experience was inspired as much by the island’s natural beauty and colorful culture, as by our guests and the many ways they can engage with this incredible destination,” said Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman of Sandals Resorts. “This resort – a true labor of love that spanned years with my father and our late founder, Gordon “Butch” Stewart – is a testament to the transformation of tourism via new experiences. Tourists are no longer content to gamble on an all-inclusive vacation, they are now enjoying the local energy and paying homage to the people and culture of the place.”
The Sandals Foundation recently teamed up with Dutch soccer team AFC Ajax to launch Future Goals – a program that transforms fishing nets from the ocean and recycled plastic waste into soccer cages for children. The partnership kicked off last month in Curaçao’s elementary school.

A CONVENIENT LOCATION
Sandals Royal Curaçao is located in the exclusive Santa Barbara estate, 24 kilometers from Curaçao International Airport. Its west-facing position blends the natural environment with the resort experience, capturing one of the most spectacular sunsets in the Caribbean. Couples can discover the beauty and geographical diversity of Curaçao, known for its adventurous terrain, pristine beaches, limestone caves, spectacular dive sites and vibrant capital, Willemstad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
SINGULAR, EMOTIONAL HOSPITALITY

Lush gardens and ocean vistas complete a chic, insular and immaculate design, infused with Curaçao’s Caribbean warmth. The hotel’s 351 rooms and suites offer guests a truly welcoming experience.

With views of Spanish waters and mountain scenery, couples can lounge and enjoy the exclusive Dos Awa Infinity Pool, a two-level infinity pool located at the heart of the property. Guests can also head to the bar to enjoy signature cocktails while taking in the breathtaking views.

The Sandals Royal Curaçao offers the chance to stay in beautiful suites such as the Melemele Walkout (papiamentu meaning affectionate) or the Sunchi Beachfront (meaning to embrace).
Each space is designed to be locally inspired and includes entirely new room categories, such as the Kurason Island Poolside Butler Bungalows and the Awa Seaside Butler Bungalows (the hotel’s most upscale suites with access to private lagoons and views of the Curaçao coast).

Premium amenities and furnishings range from wood floors and vaulted ceilings to custom-made king-size beds, well-stocked bars, smart TVs and much more – with Sandals Signature Butler Elite service, airport transfers and room service run 24 hours a day for select suites.
NEW CATERING CONCEPTS – ISLAND INCLUSIVE

Sandals Royal Curaçao offers 11 culinary concepts, including 8 restaurants – 7 of which are new to the resort and only available within the hotel. By the sea, 3 gourmet food trucks are also available, as well as 13 bars. New concepts include Aolos, an open-air Mediterranean restaurant; Vincent, a tribute to the famous Dutch painter with European cuisine; and the Toteki food truck offering traditional Curaçao dishes.

To further immerse guests in the island’s culture and the unique flavors of local cuisine, Sandals Royal Curaçao is offering the resort’s first-ever off-site dining program, Island Inclusive. This new concept aims to invite vacationers to become travelers by offering all-inclusive dining options at a selection of partner restaurants around the destination.

Valid for stays of 7 nights minimum, the program is exclusively reserved for guests staying in a Butler suite, as well as Sandals Select Reward members with Diamond, Pearl or Ambassadors Club status.

They can enjoy chic gastro-bars and more classic restaurants with an international flair, selected in advance by experts. Terms include a $250 voucher to be used at one of the partner restaurants, with return transfers included.
The most luxurious suites, Kurason Island Poolside Butler Bungalows and Awa Seaside Butler Bungalows, include a MINI Cooper convertible, so you can explore the surrounding area in complete freedom.
