A few days ago, we were at the Crazy Horse to find out who the next artistic director of the Crazy Horse show would be! So it’s the incredible Chantal Thomass, who will direct the show for three months to mark Crazy Horse’s 65th anniversary. This collaboration seems such a no-brainer that we can’t wait to see what comes of it.
Following the dazzling success of Dita’s Crazy Show, divinely led by burlesque queen Dita Von Teese, the famous cabaret on Avenue George V is pleased to offer a new must-see event.
With Chantal Thomass, the Crazy Horse opens its doors to the first “Guest Designer” in its history. Following in the footsteps of Philippe Decouflé and Christian Louboutin, it’s now the turn of the Papesse of chic lingerie to dress the legendary Crazy Horse dancers… the better to undress them!
Chantal Thomass, assisted by the Crazy Horse team, will propose four exclusive tableaux and iconic ones, such as “God Save Our Bareskin”, reworked as couture pieces for constantly reinvented visual effects.

As mistress of the premises, Chantal Thomass will also bring her personal touch to the “dressing” of the spaces, offering a unique experience that will immerse spectators in her boudoir universe from the moment the cabaret doors open.
“At the beginning of the year, I loved my friend Dita’s show. So when Andrée Deissenberg suggested this wonderful adventure, I didn’t hesitate for a second. I was sure it would be an extraordinary experience, with the privilege of creating in total freedom, in a new creative universe to explore. What could be more exciting than taking on such a challenge for the Temple of Femininity?”
Chantal Thomass was the first designer to put lingerie on the catwalk in the 1970s, irreverently overturning established lingerie codes and bringing about a veritable revolution. She brought lingerie to the forefront, transforming it into a veritable accessory of fashion and desire.
Taut with pink and black, marked by her shadowy silhouette and red mouth, the world of Chantal Thomass is instantly recognizable. As is that of Crazy Horse, with which she shares the values of audacity, impertinence and timelessness, as well as an iconic bobbed hairstyle.
The audacity to wear on top what everyone else is wearing underneath. The impertinence of an unexpected detail. The timelessness that makes Chantal Thomass a timeless style. All dimensions she incorporates into her custom-made project for Crazy Horse, to infuse it with a touch of lightness, like the poster photographed by Ellen von Unwerth.
To accompany this creative momentum, Crazy Horse is also innovating on social networks by inaugurating #verticalityreport, a new form of expression designed for Instagram by artist Stéphane Lucas @verticalityworld, to be followed on the @crazyhorseparis_official account.
And to discover this wildly glamorous and Parisian show, Crazy Horse is maintaining its usual offers and will be presenting a festive New Year’s Eve all in lace and garter belts!
