Periscope is a new app for sharing and discovering live video from a smartphone. Launched in March on iOS and on Android last month, it is described by its creator as “the closest thing to teleportation”. Allowing live sharing, Chanel pays tribute to its customers and, above all, to those who love its collections. A democratization of the catwalk, short of the Grand Palais. This instantaneous effect, sought after by the house’s loyal followers, reflects the magnitude and ceremonial aspect of the Chanel fashion show.
