Feathers, short, flared cuts, finely embroidered fabrics: an unpretentious classic. An effective classic that takes us back in time, where the delicacy of a Black Swann meets the grace of a Hitchkockian heroine.

A dancer who lets herself be led slowly and spiritedly towards the effervescence and freedom of the night. Without losing her elegance… A collection, like a moment of grace, in which one note stands out from the rest of the orchestra, revealing the steps of a fragile dancer who captivates the eye. As Natalie Portman says in Black Swann, “I was perfect”. Bussardi can lay claim to this title with this flawless collection.

Founded in 2009, the birth of the house is a family story that remains faithful to local savoir-faire. Bussardi and Tick Muntarbhorn, mother and son, founded the house, the first Thai brand to parade during Paris Haute Couture week. Faithful to artisanal Thai silks, the brand remains based in Bangkok and is regularly featured in the pages of L’Officiel thaïlandais.
With no desire to dazzle with light shows or excessive sequins, it’s the rigor of the cuts and the precision of the volumes that give the long evening gowns and cocktail dresses their full scope.
Short models, topped with boleros, emphasize the waist, all in models that reveal work on materials such as satin, organza, guipure or chantilly lace. The tulle embroidery on the long dresses is worthy of haute couture. The collection features two main models in solid tones ranging from black to turquoise, through shades of violet to pale pink. Sometimes colors meet, like turquoise and royal purple, for the best effect, modernizing the classic cut.

“The Queen of the Night” is not about oppulance, but plays on the modesty of the classics to reveal their full power. When they are successful, classics are always effective and become timeless. They have the modesty to pretend to be nothing other than what they are; they have that eternal charm. A collection that will outlast Autumn-Winter 2015-2016
