Christophe Guillarmé “Bohème” Fall/Winter 2013-14 collection
Designer Christophe Guillarmé presented his new collection, entitled “Bohème”, at cult Parisian venue Le Balajo as part of the Paris Fashion Week calendar. Christophe Guillarmé’s friends and celebrities turned out for the occasion, including the sparkling W9 host Karima Charni in a red silk jersey mini-dress, and actress Joséphine Jobert, who had represented Christophe at Gala magazine’s
20th anniversary fashion show the day before at the Olympia, appeared very glam in a lace mini-dress entirely embroidered with lines of sequins,
The divine choreographer Mia Frye was ravishing in a powdered silk jersey sheath with gold epaulets. Vocal coach Armande Altaï, animator Eléonore Boccara in a pink satin mini gandoura and director Jovanka Sopalovic rounded out the glamorous front row.
With this invaluable support, Christophe presented the audience with his inspiration for the 19th century artistic movement La Bohème.
A state of mind where eccentricity is favored, as in Fellini’s cinema, from which Christophe drew inspiration to create draped chiffon sheaths for Extravagantes, worthy heirs to the Incroyables et Merveilleuses and their diaphanous outfits bordering on indecency.
Precious colors include ruby red, Indian red, carmine, royal blue, black in transparent embroidered tulle, and silver in gradient all-over sequins or jersey. A few volumes of gold-lined tulle surprised onlookers and completed the wardrobe for
an elegant woman who favors glamour and fantasy.
For the occasion, Christophe Guillarmé once again teamed up with Renault to create a Butterfly version of the Twizy custom, which will soon be on display in selected of the manufacturer’s Paris and Ile de France outlets.
