As part of its corporate sponsorship program, LVMH has always encouraged the talents of tomorrow. In line with this approach, LVMH recently announced a new commitment with the creation of the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers.
The LVMH Young Fashion Creators Prize, unprecedented in its concept, content and international scope, will be awarded each year to a designer of outstanding talent.
In addition, LVMH will recognize three young fashion school graduates by offering them the chance to join the creative team of one of the Group’s Houses for one year.
For the Prize, the Group asked eight artistic directors from its fashion houses to elect the young designer of tomorrow each year.
For Delphine Arnault: “The LVMH Prize aims to support young fashion designers. This sponsorship initiative reflects the values of our Group: our designers will distinguish the talents of tomorrow, who will be rewarded and supported in the development of their House. Our ambition is to encourage vitality and creativity in the international fashion world. It is our responsibility, as a leader in our sector, to discover young talent and help them develop.
For this first edition, the 2014 jury is made up of:
eight artistic directors from LVMH Group companies: Nicolas Ghesquière (Louis Vuitton), Marc Jacobs (Marc Jacobs), Karl Lagerfeld (Fendi), Humberto Leon and Carol Lim (Kenzo), Phoebe Philo (Céline), Raf Simons (Dior), Riccardo Tisci (Givenchy);
as well as : Delphine Arnault, Jean-Paul Claverie (Bernard Arnault’s advisor and LVMH patronage director), Pierre-Yves Roussel (Chairman and CEO of Fashion Group LVMH).

The winner will receive a grant of 300,000 euros and personalized support for the development of his or her company from a dedicated team within LVMH for a period of twelve months from the award of the LVMH Prize, in all areas of expertise of interest to a young fashion house (intellectual property, sourcing, production and distribution, image and communication, marketing, etc.).
The LVMH Young Fashion Creators Prize is open to designers under 40 who have designed and marketed at least two ready-to-wear collections for men or women. Applications are now open. They must be submitted exclusively on the prize website: www.lvmhprize.com until February 2, 2014.
Conceived as a collaborative platform dedicated to creation, the website will enable the public to discover young designers from all over the world.
A committee of international fashion experts, including journalists, stylists and buyers, will help shortlist the ten finalists who will be presented to the jury.
The winner will be announced in May 2014.
In addition, the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers will be awarded to three young graduates who have completed a full course of study at a fashion school during the year of the Prize. The three winners will be offered a grant of 10,000 euros. They will also be offered the chance to join the creative team of one of the Group’s Houses for one year.
