L’Eau d’Issey, the scent of water on a woman’s skin
L’Eau d’Issey Absolue evokes a new emotion of intensity, warmth and light. A very special kind of light, that of twilight, subtly golden as it shimmers over the petals of jasmine de Nuit. A pure moment of poetry that adorns the bottle and box. This light delicately crosses the ball, caresses the ribbed cap and dresses it in pale gold. Then it plunges into the body of the bottle, illuminating it with a transparent golden glow.
L’Eau d’Issey Absolue is not a new concentration of L’Eau d’Issey, but an original interpretation: a luminous floral composed around honey and jasmine de Nuit.
A story of flowers, sunshine and honey
To evoke this nature bursting with light and enveloped in the warmth of the sun, master perfumer Olivier Cresp (Firmenich) has chosen night jasmine. A flower that reveals its intense, voluptuous fragrance at dusk.

Delicate and transparent with its lotus flower and freesia accord, the flight of L’Eau d’Issey Absolue begins in dotted lines, like the first hours of the day, when flower petals are still wet with morning dew.
These two notes are shared with the original Eau d’Issey fragrance, as they mark the same olfactory imprint on the theme of transparency. The accord then gains in intensity and power, like nature warming up under the sun. We reach the heart of the composition when night jasmine unveils its floral notes. Olivier Cresp has nuanced them with a touch of
tuberose to express the voluptuous accents so characteristic of white flowers.
But we mustn’t forget the beautiful amber light offered by the sun at dusk. It gilds the petals of night jasmine with the same radiance that adorns the Eau d’Issey Absolue bottle.
In the heart of the fragrance, Provence honey absolute takes on this title role and proves as essential as night jasmine. It brings richness and intensity, as if capturing the quintessence of jasmine in a “flower nectar”.
Finally, to make this honey and night jasmine persist in the trail and become even more caressing, the perfumer has velvetized them with Bourbon vanilla absolute and a precious wood accord.
This brings to mind nature, still warm and fragrant from daylight. It’s nighttime, but the fragrant imprint of jasmine is still there.
