C2C – W9 HOME FESTIVAL 2012

On Saturday September 29, Luxsure was invited to a private concert at the W9 Home Festival. As the name suggests, these private concerts took place in private homes. Throughout the day, we met up at different venues all over Paris and the suburbs to attend 30-minute shows by artists such as La Grande Sophie, Skip The Use, Electric Guest, etc., in a restricted setting. It was a true marathon of music, discoveries and good humor. It was therefore with great pleasure that we attended the showcase by C2C. Formerly known as“Coups de Cross“, C2C is a French breakbeat and turntablism group made up of four DJs: 20Syl and Greem fromHocus Pocusand Atom and Pfel from Beat Torrent. They turn their turntables into musical instruments in their own right, exchanging their tabs in frantic choreography. As you may have guessed, C2C is a kind of smart electronic music, with original sounds and samplers drawn from a variety of worlds, including funk, soul, rap and jazz. We were able to discover 4 tracks from their new album, Tetra. A pleasure not only for the ears, but also for the eyes, as they are equipped with highly sophisticated LED screens, visually punctuating their musical performance. We love the W9 Home Festival, and we want more!
