Prix de la Closerie des Lilas award ceremony: Luxsure was there!

In the small world of publishing, the Prix de la Closerie des Lilas has already become an institution. Created in 2007, the prize aims to promote women’s literature. It is awarded to a novel written by a woman in French, published between January and March.
This year’s prize went to Nathalie Kuperman for Les raisons de mon crime, published by Gallimard. She was showered with gifts. In fact, the winner will be the privileged guest of La Closerie des Lilas for one year, to the value of 3,000 euros. Montblanc presented her with a Princess Grace of Monaco Limited Edition fountain pen. Finally, Maison Duval-Leroy also presented her with a magnum of “Femme de Champagne”, the family house’s prestige cuvée. (I think I’ll go into literature…)

On the evening of Tuesday April 3, the award ceremony took place. Several members of the jury were present to honor the lucky winner. Among them: Régine Deforges, Virginie Despentes, Ariane Massenet, Catherine Nay, Mazarine Pingeot and Nathalie Rheims.
Le Tout-Paris was also present: PPDA, Xavier de Moulins, Rachid Taha, Axelle Lafont, Jean-Claude Jitrois and his inseparable Sarah Marshall, the Bogdanov brothers…
At around 9pm, when the prize-giving ceremony takes place, it’s a mad rush! You had to elbow your way to the small stage. Afterwards, guests enjoyed an oyster buffet and a glass of champagne.
Foc Kan, the photographer to the stars, is hilarious and full of jokes.
The sound distilled by the DJette was very pleasant. We had a pleasant evening. Now it’s time to go home.
Other prizes awarded during the evening:
The Lilac Award for Bookseller went to Sylvie Champagne (Librairie Passion Culture at
Orléans)
The Lilac Award for Press Officer went to Brigitte Béranger (JC Lattès)
The Lilac Award for Publisher went to Claire Delannoy (Albin Michel)
