Opening party for 114 by Puma Social
Wednesday January 18 saw the inauguration of a hybrid concept/bar venue: 114 by Puma Social. After having been one of the official partners of the bar “Le 114” and omnipresent in the construction of this rock bar, Puma today announces that it is taking over the running of the venue. From January 2012 to the end of the Olympic Games (August 2012), “le 114 By Puma Social” will be the place to be for Night Athletes craving fun and rock!
This refreshing new venue is located at 114 rue Oberkampf, in the magma of eastern Paris. It’s the perfect place for a wild evening out. That evening, we were welcomed by Gunther Love, the venue’s exuberant Artistic Director. In charge of programming, he didn’t disappoint. The first salvo came with Jara-Ezo. A group whose singer has an incredible energy worthy of Tina Turner in her heyday. Their cover of The Gossip sets the room alight. I’m in the front row!
We also take advantage of the tasty cocktail with its little burgers that can’t be refused. One glass of champagne after another to recover from our emotions. I try to take a photo with the photo booth, but the queue dissuades me. A quick trip to the toilet. Totally crazy! Drawings all over the place. Then we come face to face with Bafé Gomis, Olympique Lyonnais’ gifted striker. Smiling and approachable, he’s a pleasure to meet. Then I come across the very worrying Vogel from the TV series Braquo, who tells me that evening that there will indeed be a third season.Les Black Minou follow on with a quality rock sound that’s already more conventional. Then the Airnadette: Waouuuhhh! What a UFO! One wonders if all these people aren’t on acid. The group playback Starmania and Eminem hits with a completely zany choreography.
Cédric Couvez, with his 3-month-old beard and misshapen greatcoat and red Puma jacket underneath, closes the evening with a big sound.
In short, an excellent evening. Long live 114!
