The Chalhoub Group, specialist in the distribution and retailing of luxury brands in the Middle East, announces the opening of its new luxury children’s store at Abu Dhabi Mall.

Katakeet is a new multi-brand concept offering an exclusive range of luxury children’s clothing in the Middle East.

Katakeet means “chick” in Arabic and is often used to describe anything small and cute, such as children. Children from 0 to 10 years of age will have the opportunity to dress in such renowned brands as Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Baby Dior, Fendi, Tartine et Chocolat, John Galliano, Rykiel Enfant and Ferrari.
One of the distinctive features of this innovative concept is to offer an environment where children, as well as their parents, can enjoy a unique shopping experience. To awaken children’s curiosity, Katakeet called on illustrator Polly Dunbar to create characters specific to the world of childhood. This playful place allows children and their parents to enjoy a memorable voyage of discovery into the magical world of childhood.

“We’re very excited to be opening our multi-brand children’s concept for the first time at Abu Dhabi Mall. An exclusive place where children can lose themselves in a world of wonder, a magical world where all dreams come true. By offering a wide choice of luxury brands while developing a fairytale shopping concept, the Chalhoub Group is ensuring the long-term success of Katakeet,” confirms Patrick Chalhoub, co-director of the Chalhoub Group.

Polly Dunbar has developed an innovative tale to enchant children and keep them intrigued and stimulated, making shopping a fun experience for parents too. Along the way, they’ll discover enchanted mirrors, secret doors, treasure maps and magical wardrobes. With the Katakeet concept, the Chalhoub Group continues to innovate while expanding its retail expertise and presence in the Middle East.
