The Rezidor hotel group opens a Missoni Kuwait hotel

The Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the fastest-growing hotel groups in the world, announces the opening of a Missoni Kuwait Hotel in collaboration with the famous Missoni fashion house.

This second Hotel Missoni has 169 rooms. It is a benchmark in design hotels, just like the first Missoni establishment, which opened in Edinburgh (Scotland) in 2009.

Hotel Missoni Kuwait is part of the “Symphony Center”, an emporium located in the city’s shopping district. Inspired by the Persian Gulf and Oriental culture, Creative Director Rosita Missoni makes bold use of the bright colors (turquoise, green, gold…) and original patterns that characterize the Italian house, giving the entire establishment a refreshingly contemporary energy.

Hotel Missoni Kuwait offers 169 rooms with sea views. Room rates include breakfast, laundry services, high-speed wireless Internet access, video-on-demand service and minibar contents. The hotel also features meeting rooms, a state-of-the-art gym, hammam, sauna and swimming pool overlooking the city.

“Hotel Missoni Kuwait is a fantastic property that complements the Rezidor Group’s growing hotel portfolio across the Middle East. Opening a Missoni Hotel here is a real milestone for our company, as the first hotel to open outside Scandinavia was in Kuwait. The Missoni Kuwait Hotel will strengthen our presence in the region and our positioning as an international hotel entity. The combination of design, lifestyle and technology makes for a unique experience – from the moment you walk through the doors, you’ll know it’s a Missoni,” says Kurt Ritter, President and CEO of Rezidor.

The Hotel Missoni Kuwait offers refined cuisine: the Italian restaurant Cucina is located in the heart of the establishment and concocts delicious authentic Italian recipes, while the Luna restaurant on the 18th floor serves Arabo-Oriental and Mediterranean fusion cuisine. For a light meal, Choco Café offers pastries, chocolates and a selection of tasty dishes. The pool bar serves continental cuisine.

The combined use of design and technology ensures real comfort for every guest from the moment they arrive: Ipads for check-in, Bang & Oulfsen state-of-the-art TVs available in the rooms and a “Magic Mirror” in the suite bathrooms that transforms into a TV when required.

For relaxation, Hotel Missoni Kuwait also boasts a 1500 m² Six Senses luxury spa, which will be open to guests and non-residents later this year. Offering a full range of treatments including those of the Six Senses brand, the spa comprises ten treatment rooms including manicure and pedicure, two yoga rooms, relaxation areas and a juice bar. As the Spa is not mixed, men and women have their own gym, hammam and changing rooms.

Tastefully designed for travel enthusiasts, especially those with a keen interest in design, an acute knowledge of gastronomy and who are looking for an authentic experience. Hotel Missoni Kuwait will be staffed by a team of 17 nationalities, speaking over 14 languages.

Hotel room rates start at €280 per night, with à la carte breakfast, limousine airport transfers, mini-bar access, laundry services and WIFI connection included.
