Helinox has partnered with Genesis Magma Racing for Genesis’ entry into the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship. The partnership may seem unexpected: a Korean manufacturer of ultralight chairs teaming up with a car designed for Le Mans. However, it makes perfect sense when viewed from the perspectives of structure and duration.
Helinox is known for the Chair One, a folding chair that weighs less than one kilogram yet can support more than 100 kilograms. Behind the brand is DAC, a Korean company specializing in high-performance aluminum alloys.
Genesis Magma Racing enters the GMR-001 Hypercar into a world where every gram counts. The 24 Hours of Le Mans isn’t just about speed—it rewards the ability to manage fatigue, mechanical failures, and the long haul.
This partnership, therefore, represents more than just a logo on a car body. It brings together two Korean engineering philosophies: removing what is unnecessary, strengthening what remains, and designing for durability.
