Beaune Clos des Marconnets 2017
Founded in Beaune in 1750, Chanson boasts an exceptional estate, not only in terms of size, with a total surface area of 43 hectares, but also in terms of diversity, with some twenty climats, the vast majority of which are classified as premier cru or grand cru. For the Beaune appellation, Chanson, with its 10 parcels spread over the entire terroir and its unique winemaking style, is often cited as the benchmark for the appellation.
Attractive deep garnet color. On the nose, intense aromas of red and black berries (cherry, blackberry) mingled with sweet spices, with delicate hints of peony emerging on tasting. On the palate, the wine is beautifully concentrated, with great depth. The unctuous texture is set against the fine tannins. The finish is long and greedy.
It’s the perfect accompaniment to stewed beef, baked guinea fowl or wild boar stew with its velvety sauce. It will also generously enhance the curves and flavors of our regional cheeses (Citeaux, Epoisses, Langres).
Beaune Clos des Marconnets 2017 is sold at a retail price of €52.60.
