The silhouette is supple, ample and generous. The trapeze lines of tunic dresses and long train vests meet the opulent roundness of sculptural crinolines. A long white sweater in foam crepe paved with Carrara marble leaves large armfuls of foam trailing behind. Limestone pebbles limestone pebbles become imposing finery, worn on long white vegetable leather gloves. A black tide of pleated organza flies from a rock crystal and white howlite-covered corset onto a giant skirt of night silk faille.
Filmed in the dawn light of the Basque country, Nieves Alvarez, absolute muse, evolves on the stretches of sand and dykes of Hendaye, Biarritz and Bidart, natural podiums.
