Reflections on observing the world from above have inspired the FENDI Homme Spring/Summer 2022 collection, a rich interplay of lightness and ease with a clear focus on the future of luxury. A subtle palette echoes spring flora and ephemeral skies in pastel tones of lemon and limeof glacier blueand lavenderpistachio pistachio and peony against mineral shades of travertineand chalkgraphite graphite and slate. Taken from the FENDI archives, an illustrated map of Rome becomes FENDI Land, a cartographic drawing of the city where the Palazzo Fendi emerges at its center and the Tiber flows through a labyrinth of buildings and streets adorned with freehand FF logos. In a harmonious suite of topographical simulations entitled FENDI Earth, abstractly contoured motifs float on linen-silk costumes. linen silklinen jacquard denimdenim crochet t-shirts and shearling intarsia.
The new garments showcase FENDI's prowess, with airy airy trench coatsloose-fitting windbreakers and overshirts punctuated by embossed details on reversible suede, calf leather and durable piece-dyed cotton. Knitwear follows the technical contours of FENDI Earth patterns in featherweight cashmere intarsia ensembles, as well as zip-up topsin two-tone double cashmere and polo shirts in ribbed or crocheted cotton . From high-collar sweatersand t-shirts in crocheted mink are turned up at the front, exposing utilitarian belts strung with FENDI buckle charms.
