HUBLOT PRESENTS THE BIG BANG E UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

On the very day of the draw for soccer’s most prestigious international club competition, Hublot announces a limited edition version of the Big Bang e connected watch.

The UEFA Champions League is back! On the very day of the draw for this season’s competition, Hublot is proud to present the Big Bang e UEFA Champions League, as well as the Hublot Loves Football UEFA Champions League application.

The new model is based on Hublot’s Big Bang e connected watch, launched earlier this year. A number of functions have been added to enhance the experience for UEFA Champions League fans. This limited edition of 500 features a lightweight ceramic case and rubber strap, both in the emblematic blue of the UEFA Champions League. Owners can choose from a range of dials, which can be downloaded from the Hublot Store. There will be digital and analog options in blue, and a singular colored dial that can be customized to match the colors of the participating teams. The watch runs on Google™’s Wear OS and features the new Hublot Loves Football UEFA Champions League app. Users will receive notifications to alert them to kick-off time (15 minutes before the start of the match), goals, penalties, substitutions, yellow and red cards and added time. The application will also show team compositions and video-assisted refereeing options. When the end of playing time is announced, the software starts counting down to the next match. And if two matches are taking place at the same time, users will be able to switch from one to the other with a simple tap on the screen. The application will also be available to current owners of the Hublot Big Bang e watch. Hublot will also equip UEFA Champions League referees with a special edition, which will not be offered commercially. Molded in an ultra-light composite for referees’ wearing comfort, the watch will be even lighter than the ceramic version. The watch will also feature additional technology to help referees, for example with the goal-line technology function, which signals when the ball has completely crossed the line. So, even in a crowded penalty area, the referee will have no doubt that a goal has been scored.

Hublot is the leading luxury brand in the world of international soccer. It was the first Swiss watch brand and the first luxury brand to become involved in the sport. It was also the first Swiss watch brand to create a luxury connected watch for soccer, on the occasion of the FIFA™ World Cup in Russia in 2018. Since entering the world of football in 2006, Hublot has timed national, European and international competitions. For the 2020/21 season, Hublot will be Official Timekeeper of the Premier League for the first time. Next year, the brand will time the UEFA European Championships, which have been rescheduled due to the pandemic but retain the title of UEFA EURO 2020™.
