Art Elysées organizers forced to cancel.
“It is with regret and immense disappointment that we have to abandon this 14th edition.
The new health regulations announced yesterday by the French Minister for Solidarity and Health no longer allow the Art Élysées fair to be organized reasonably.
It was against a complex and difficult backdrop, but with the encouragement of galleries, art professionals and collectors, that we carried out an extraordinary organization over several months. Working closely with our committed exhibitors and partners, we were able to offer a fine selection of some sixty art and design galleries in two pavilions for this 2020 edition. But as we are responsible and anxious to ensure that sanitary regulations are respected to protect our exhibitors and visitors, we can no longer maintain the fair in a climate where all the elements necessary for the success of such an event are not in place.
We would like to thank all the galleries that have followed us to the end, loyal and professional, we salute their courage, and at a time when the profession needs it most, we remain attentive to their needs;
We would also like to thank our service providers and all our partners, with whom we have worked tirelessly over the past 14 years to ensure that this very special fair remains a success and continues to improve.
During this period, the team will continue to prepare the new 2021 edition with commitment and respect for health regulations, when we hope the economic situation will bring together all the ingredients for the success of a fair such as Art Élysées deserves.
Art Élysées will take advantage of this exceptional period to propose a more digital project, more focused on education, transmission and expertise in the field of art. We look forward to sharing this new project with you.”
Luxsure was once again a partner of this year’s show, and we look forward to seeing you at the next edition.
