This French Industrial Heritage site has been transformed into a 5-star hotel, and boasts vast spaces spread over a two-hectare site, making it much easier to respect minimum distances in public places. The 92-room hotel is now open, as are its Spa and two swimming pools – indoor and outdoor – where you can relax and enjoy the mild Charente climate.
The Charente region is renowned for its authentic, refined cuisine. Les Foudres restaurant, which reopens on June 25, has quickly established itself as a gastronomic reference in the region. Chef Marc-Antoine Lepage offers a high-flying culinary experience in a building steeped in history, beneath century-old foudres. Here, he revives the collective memory and transmission of the ancestral know-how of the region’s producers. Hotel guests can also enjoy room service at the contemporary bistro La Distillerie. As for the Rooftop Bar overlooking the city of Cognac, it reopens its doors on June 26. It’s the ideal place to take in the view and sip a signature cocktail at dusk.
