TREND CALADOC ROSE 2018

Rooted in the ancient bed of the Rhône, Clos Saint Michel ‘s gnarled vines protrude from a sea of round pebbles and blond . The heart of the estate, the old Provencal bastide has not aged a day. For almost a century, it has united cultures and inhabitants in a reassuring embrace.

Franck & Olivier Mousset, who represent the 4th generation of winegrowers on these lands, deeply appreciate the close union between the vines and the cellars they have rehabilitated. Their spirits, energies and care can accompany not only each vine, but also each vat, then each barrel, in its daily transformations.

They have combined the natural richness of the terroir, traditional know-how and the latest scientific data . Faithful to the principles that regulated the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation in 1937, they wanted to recreate an artisanal operation with limited yields . In 2017, the estate applied for conversion to l’Agriculture Biologique, which corresponds to the transition phase towards “Agriculture Biologique” certification.

The wines they produce – Châteauneuf-du-Pape (Clos Saint Michel), Côtes-du-Rhône (Domaine Guy Mousset) and varietal wines such as Caladoc – are top-quality products, often winning awards.
