CRAZY HORSE PRESENTS VIKTORIA MODESTA, FIRST BIONIC GUEST STAR!
Le Crazy Horse, the iconic and creative Parisian cabaret with an incomparable style and cutting-edge collaborations, surprises and innovates with its new artistic adventure by inviting Viktoria Modesta, multi-faceted futuristic artist, performer, artistic director, singer-songwriter, lecturer, social networking star, to become its first “Bionic Showgirl”, from June 3 to 16, 2019.
Victoria’s life is a modern fairy tale: after spending her early years fighting for her health in Latvia, before the fall of the USSR, her love of fashion, avant-garde art and underground culture gave her the strength to overcome these hardships. Leaving her native country for London at the age of 12, she began to shine in modeling as a teenager. At the age of 20, after several leg operations, she chose to undergo a below-the-knee amputation to improve her mobility and preserve her future health. This transformation unleashed her creativity, enabling her to indulge her passion and sculpt her image as an accomplished woman, far removed from stereotypes.
Today, she is the first bionic Guest Star in the history of the famous Parisian cabaret. An icon of a new genre, both different and astonishing, she was chosen by Andrée Deissenberg, Crazy Horse’s General Manager of Creation and Development and a woman of challenges, to embody on this mythical stage the woman of the future sublimated by technology.
For 29 exceptional performances, bookable now, Viktoria will appear alone and accompanied by Crazy Girls, the Crazy Horse dancers, in several tableaux created around her futuristic universe.
