The renowned hoteles.com platform publishes its ranking of the most popular hotels on Instagram around the world, including Málaga’s most avant-garde and emblematic hotel
October 2018 – According to a study by hoteles.com, one in six travelers admit to selecting their hotel based on design and the way it communicates on social networks. What’s more, two-thirds of “Millenials” travelers spend around 80 minutes on Instagram sharing their leisure activities with all their followers.
Based on this study, the famous search and booking platform for hotels worldwide has published its ranking of the “10 most Instagrammable hotels in the world”, including the Barceló Málaga hotel.
Thanks to its avant-garde design and close ties with the world of art and culture, the Barceló Málaga hotel, located in the heart of the María Zambrano AVE train station, has received numerous awards such as this one, and has become a veritable design icon in Spain.
Designed by the prestigious interior architect Jordi Torres, who defines the hotel as “a three-dimensional painting conveying the soul of avant-garde architecture”, the Barceló Malaga is a veritable benchmark in terms of architecture, thanks to its avant-garde, surrealist style with colorful touches reminiscent of Salvador Dalí or Elsa Schiaparelli.
Its B-Lounge lobby is more than just a place to pass through, it’s a place to relax, unwind and create memories thanks to its design based on bright colors, furniture with highly original shapes and curves, and reminiscences of surrealist art. What’s more, this space is equipped with a fantastic six-meter-long steel slide linking the second floor to the hotel lobby, through which guests can glide smoothly. Located in Malaga’s VIALIA (AVE) station, Malaga’s most avant-garde hotel is the perfect example of an urban hotel in close contact with the world of art, design and gastronomy. The design of its lobby, conceived by interior architect Jordi Torres, overturns the traditional concept of the hotel with an extremely original proposal, full of bright, colorful curves and lines, integrating the most regressive and unforgettable part of the hotel: its sliding steel structure, a spectacular 6-meter-long slide linking the second floor to the lobby.
