CAMUS Borderies XO Family Reserve,
During an evening at the Shangri-La Paris where we were invited, Maison CAMUS revealed its Borderies XO Family Reserve, an exceptionally aromatic blend created from eaux-de-vie from the family estate.
This blend of rare eaux-de-vie with floral and fruity aromas and incomparable roundness is the culmination of a passionate quest by the CAMUS family over many years, embodying the most perfect expression of the original Borderies terroir, where the history of Cognac began almost 500 years ago.
CAMUS Borderies XO Family Reserve will be presented at 5 major cities around the world-Paris, Moscow, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Los Angeles-but has already been available at select airports in Asia since January 2018.
CAMUS Borderies XO Family Reserve offers the sensory experience of an intensely aromatic cognac.
Nose: A rich, complex aromatic palette offering a perfect balance between floral and fruity notes, combined with gourmet notes of pastry and vanilla.
Palate: Powerful, rich and creamy, with a particularly velvety texture that reveals intense pastry aromas, subtle spicy notes, cinnamon and dried fruit.
Finish: Lingering floral nuances, delicate notes of violet.
The purest expression of Borderies
Thanks to the very precise management of Domaines CAMUS, we produce wines of great aromatic quality which, once distilled, reveal exceptional aromas and produce intensely aromatic eaux-de-vie. Cellar Master Patrick Léger recalls that the project was matured over many years, after numerous tastings: “It was a real technical challenge. At each stage of fermentation, distillation and ageing, the eaux-de-vie were treated separately. Some are more mineral, others more floral, rounder, more supple. The non-negotiable objective was to preserve as much of the typicity of each eau-de-vie as possible, in order to achieve the purest expression of Borderies”.
The CAMUS range
The BORDERIES range also includes a VSOP from the CAMUS estate. Maison CAMUS’s main Elégance range includes a VS, a VSOP, an XO and an Extra.
Finally, CAMUS is breaking new ground with its cognacs from the Ile de Ré, offering a resolutely modern approach to cognac.
