Drappier’s Cuvée Grande Sendrée gets a showcase to match its image

Champagne Grande Sendrée, Maison Drappier’s “cuvée des grands millésimes”, has been given a presentation case in its own image, as it leaves the cellars where it grows and moves into the wine shops, where it will make a grand entrance this autumn. Sober, authentic and elegant, this box designed by Charline Drappier is made from 100% recyclable cardboard sourced from forests certified as “ecologically sound” in order to reduce carbon impact.
On the lid, the gold hot stamping reproducing the arabesques on the label contrasts with the dark brown color. Inside, the cadastre of the parcel covered in ashes during a fire in 1836, and the history of this cuvée, which also has SA bouteille, are inscribed. Emerging from the depths of the Maison Drappier cellars in Urville, this 18th-century bottle is like no other. Michel Drappier had the idea of reproducing it to hold his rarest champagne, which exists in both white and rosé. That was in 1974.
From now on, Grande Sendrée champagne will only be available in this boxed set from wine merchants and, of course, also from Maison Drappier in Urville. 70 euros incl. VAT for the white, 85 euros incl. VAT for the rosé. The 2008 vintage is currently available in both colors.
