A few weeks ago, we went to Amsterdam, a mythical and sulphurous city. This historic city has it all: marvellous canals, museums galore, numerous parks, a sultry red light district and the now-famous coffee shops. As long as you have a ray of sunshine, Amsterdam will light up your day with its cheerfulness and joie de vivre.
The hardest thing about Amsterdam is not finding something to do, but finding a hotel. Amsterdam’s hotels are often fully booked and sometimes disappointing, due to the city’s limited architectural space and the constant stream of tourists.

During our stay, we were able to try out one of the city’s most pleasant and well-placed hotels, the Renaissance Amsterdam.
Ideally located 5 minutes from the main train station, 5 minutes from the red light district and the city center, Le Renaissance offers a choice solution. Transport links are just a stone’s throw away. It’s the ideal starting point for a tour of the city.
Just a stone’s throw from the historic Jordaan district, the fashion district and De Negen Strates, you’ll be just a few minutes from Dam Square, the center of the city.
The rooms are spacious, and the design is modern – nothing like the cramped rooms of Amsterdam. The hotel has 402 rooms and 6 deluxe suites.
You can also take advantage of the hotel’s restaurants: the Scossa Italian restaurant or the Koepelcafé café and its beautiful terrace where you can feel the Amsterdam atmosphere. If you prefer cocktails, head to the 2B Lounge Bar.
The Renaissance Amsterdam also boasts a magnificent event space opposite the hotel: the 17th-century Koepelkerk, painted by Van Gogh himself, and a state-of-the-art gym.
A great stay at the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel , which we recommend, and now all you have to do is visit the city.
