The first Parisian Palace and the Parisian slipper brand,
L’Hôtel des rois et des reines and the shoe created for the British crown,
The collaboration between the two Houses was an obvious choice.

When history is a source of inspiration
Opened in 1835, Le Meurice pays tribute to the Age of Enlightenment that preceded it, with decor inspired by the splendor of Versailles.
The “slippers” model, brought up to date by Chatelles, is inspired by the indoor shoe created for Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s husband.
While both Maisons draw their inspiration from the riches of history, they also possess a spirit and audacity that anchor them deeply in their time. At the Meurice, this humor is discovered in the many winks made to Salvador Dalì, who was a faithful guest for over thirty years. If Chatelles collections offer sober and elegant models, they also know how to show a certain extravagance with unicorns embroidered with gold thread, models with sequins or the mules “Phoenix”, covered with ostrich feathers! And François du Chastel was not short of daring when, in 2012, he decided to create a brand of slippers at a time when stilettos and ballerinas ruled the fashion world.
The “Meurice” model
Humor and daring, then… What binds the two brands is also excellence, grace and a sense of timelessness. To celebrate these different common values, Chatelles’ designers have created a new model in the colors of the Palace. Entirely hand-crafted in magnificent water-green Italian leather, the Meurice slipper is accented with a rose-gold leather trim, for an alluring flat look on any occasion!
From June 7, this model will be available exclusively in the Chatelles boutique, at 94 rue du Bac, and online at www.mychatelles.com. An elegant and original way to prove your attachment to Paris’s leading Palace!
A celebration of gourmet pleasure
A Palace is also the temple of gourmet pleasure and creativity. Cédric Grolet, the talented Pastry Chef of Le Meurice, has given free rein to his creativity to imagine three “Chatelles” eclairs, with icing decorated with a reproduction of slippers. In June, the Chatelles Eclair will be with pistachio and strawberry. In July, tarragon cherry. And in August, wild blackberry and violet. These original creations can be discovered at the Restaurant Le Dalì.
