Discover SCAPA Skiren

A few days ago, in the midst of whisky live, we had a wonderful experience with Scapa. This Orkney house in Scotland produces a handcrafted single malt aged in first-fill American casks. Scapa is unique in many respects, with only 5 people in charge of production, in addition to Master Distiller Brian MacAulay, who perpetuate traditional craft methods inherited from several generations of distillers.

This exceptional whisky will delight your palate with its quality and delicacy. Its hint of iodine will titillate your palate to such an extent that, like us, you’ll be tempted to drink it with seafood or simply enjoy it by the fireside this winter.

Handcrafted in limited quantities at the Scapa distillery, Scapa Skiren reflects the uniqueness of the Orkney archipelago. Its name is inspired by an ancient Norse dialect, evoking the sparkling brilliance of the sky.

The nose reveals floral aromas and fruity notes refreshed by a surprisingly pleasant hint of lemon. The sweetness of Scapa Skiren is also revealed with a note of honey and pineapple, like an explosion of fruit.

Finally, there’s the herbaceous note of the sea coast.
The coastal heather is a sign of the island origins of this distinctive single malt.

Round on the palate, Scapa Skiren has that silky smoothness that makes it a delicate whisky. The finish is long and fresh.
