Waiting in the rain of Lille, or in the cold of Paris. 1H for the lucky ones…Developing tactics, making plans: H&m des Halles, no rather the one in St Germain. Careful, it’s the inauguration…For a few years now, at the beginning of November, H&M has been pushing more and more people to find the smartest store, the smartest time, and other maneuvers in the hope of being able to walk away with the Isabel Marant boots, the Marni silk blouse, or the Alexander Wang leggings…

This year, the evils of our torments are called Leather Jacket, Embroidered Pearl Dress, Emerald Green …BALMAIN. So, to each his own… Beware, November 5 is fast approaching. On your hashtag #HMBALMAINNATION

Irreasonable, crazy… Why not? Some people queue for hours to see Star Wars, visit the Paris catacombs or catch a glimpse of Harry Styles. Waiting in front of H&M and leaving with limited-edition pieces, created with the designers of the moment: a priceless reward.

If you’re not convinced, here’s a subjective overview of the best of H&M’s collaborations.

2013 H&MXIsabel Marant: Boyfriend coat, printed blouses and lightweight dresses. The best of Isabel Marant. A look that’s classy and easy, chic but without too much “chi-chi”. That Parisian “je ne sais quoi” that’s been working for women the world over for the past few years. A collection that was a success and gives us yet another reason to appreciate Isabel Marant!

The reversible bomber was a key piece of the period, and one that seems to have lost none of its popularity in recent fashion shows.

2010 H&MxLanvin: Bright red, tulle, jewels, glittering chic. Did you say Lanvin? Feminine, macaroon-flavored dresses, bow pumps. A collection that celebrates the house’s timeless, tangy glamour.

2009 H&MXJimmy Choo: a collection dedicated to one of femininity’s greatest allies: the stiletto heel. Printed pumps, thigh-high boots, minaudières and ballerinas. Accessories – only – because they’re just as important and decisive in building an outfit and a look. While we await the adventures of the woman who made pumps an object of desire for generations – Sarah Jessica Parker aka Carrie Bradshaw – and Victoria Beckham declares that she can’t concentrate on flats, H&M has teamed up with Jimmy Choo-an iconic name in sandals and pumps-for a sexy collection.

2008 H&MXComme des Garçons. The cutting-edge brand seems to have succeeded with this daring partnership. An unexpected collaboration: the Comme des Garçons brand, with its geometric pieces that deconstruct wardrobe classics, opens up to a wider public thanks to H&M. Now established, the brand plays with polka-dot motifs for the occasion, delivering fun pieces that deviate from the everyday. A challenge, at a time when collaborations are multiplying…

2004 H&MXKarl Lagerfeld: the first, the only and the only one: Not the beginning of a successful journey. Who better to lead the way than Karl Largerfeld? Always subtle and humorous, the designer sets the tone and the goal:
