For summer 2015 , the Lanvin house is offering a gourmet version of the now classic Jeanne. The signature scent of a woman who makes the most of her sweet tooth, a shameless indulgence in the red fruits that line the small country woods. A scent of lightness, that makes you want to sip sorbets, lying in the green grass. Nothing to do but stare at bales of golden straw: a taste of pink spleen, wild sea spray and sweet kisses that emanates from the notes of this fragrance.
The fruity heart of the fragrance remains red: raspberry and white freesia on a musk base, while the top notes are wild blackberry and pear nectar. Remaining true to the delicacy and freshness of the original fragrance, this version is in tune with the season, when anything seems possible, even after the sun has set.
A tribute to the creator of this prestigious house, the world’s oldest couture house, the fragrance bears a name that means audacity, chic or Parisian. Bold cut-outs, Lanvin blue, Polignac pink and the inspiration provided by Jeanne’s daughter Marguerite (whom she raised alone), made Mme Lanvin a key figure in the pantheon of the great names in couture and an exceptional woman – a “buisness- mom” before her time. A visionary, she launched her first perfume, “My Sin”, in 1925, followed by “Arpège” in 1927, a revolutionary fragrance that inspired Rochas, Van Cleef and Arpels and Yves Saint Laurent.
