It’s Alessandro Dell’Acqua’s third season at Rochas, and the designer seems more and more at home in this house, which celebrates its 90th anniversary in 2015. To celebrate this anniversary in his own way, the designer has reworked certain highly visual Rochas codes, such as the bow, the sweetheart neckline, polka dots and the famous embroidered swallows… All translated in a pure, luxurious way. Oversized volumes are particularly evident on the first models in boiled cashmere and double cashmere. Waists are cinched, and the bottoms of dresses and coats are slightly flared. The bows tightening the neck are coordinated and created in the same textures as the pieces, while the polka-dot belt blends with tweed, as does the tulle. Lightness takes hold of the black babydoll-style dresses, all transparency and delicacy. Note the large sunglasses with lingerie elastics.
