Situated on the gentle slopes of the northern Haut Var hills, Domaine de Lauzade belongs to the Sénéclauze family, owners of Château Marquis de Terme in Margaux. The estate is protected from the Mistral by the Massif des Laures. Taking its name from the lauzes, the flat stones that once covered the sheepfold, the estate devotes 4 of its 48 hectares to its white wine.
Made from 70% rolle and 30% semillon, Château Lauzade offers a nose of white flowers, citrus fruit (tangerine) and verbena. A lively attack on the palate is followed by a smoothness on contact. Fruit aromas carry through to a charming finish.
