Arcane was created by 4 friends, Laurent, Stéphane, Christian and Stéphane, all spirits professionals. Going against the grain of the spirits world, they decided to innovate and offer a unique rum, influenced by their shared inspirations such as travel and epicurean values.
Arcane ou l’art de la canne is also the arcana of an ancestral elixir: its secrets and mysteries. We explore rum’s routes, its origins, its production, its aromas… to rework and recreate it.
After a long journey, Mauritius was chosen for its sugar-producing virtues, as well as for its distilleries, which offer innovative, high-quality distillation and ageing. The aroma of the sugar cane is maintained with precision, and all the subtleties are present.
Freshly cut sugar cane is also used, and is strongly emphasized in the composition of this rum.
The packaging, too, invites travel: the bottle is dressed in baroque-inspired black, evoking mystery and exoticism, while maintaining a consistent, harmonious graphic elegance.
This range comprises three rums: a white rum, a straw rum and a 12-year-old rum.
Cane Crush
Arcane innovates with a white rum called Cane Crush, created from a double distillation of pure cane juice.
The first distillation takes place in Mauritius, after the harvest, to ensure rapid fermentation of the cane juice. The second distillation is carried out in Charentais alembics in Cognac, ensuring perfect maturation and total preservation of the aromas.
Sugar cane, grey pepper and a hint of apple and pear are the main dominant notes on the nose and palate, resulting in a complex yet pleasant blend with a long finish.

Cane Crush can be enjoyed on its own or, as above, in a cocktail.
Délicatissime
This rum is called paille in reference to its color. Designed with a short ageing process of between 12 and 24 months in French oak casks, this method partially eliminates the aromatic fractions of distillation to give the rum roundness and retain only the aromas of fresh sugarcane.
Notes of mint, cane juice and pepper predominate. The aftertaste is more woody, with a touch of spice.
Delicatissime is a good base for the mojito, which will add a slightly spicy touch.
Extraroma
Extraroma is a 12-year-old rum aged in oak casks using the traditional Solera method: blending different eaux de vie. It is made up of young rums and various aged rums, the oldest of which is the 1999 vintage.
The combination of these techniques makes Extraroma complex and delicious on the palate. Some exotic notes of banana, coconut and candied fruit, thanks in particular to the use of oak barrels, as well as the grey pepper always present in this cuvée.
Extraroma combines the aromas of fresh cane with those of an aged rum.
Above, an original cocktail created with extraroma rum. It’s made with two preparations: strawberry purée and white chocolate chantilly. The very sweetness of the chantilly, added to the acidic notes of the purée, complements the flavor of this creation.
Already present in nearly 2,000 wine shops and building on their success, Arcane is now listed in cocktail bars in major cities: Le Perchoir in Paris, for example, and in a dozen countries across Europe.
