Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition
Presented as a world preview at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Quattroporte, designed in partnership with Ermenegildo Zegna, will be produced from July 2014 in just 100 examples.
The Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition is characterized by unique equipment that sets it apart from the current range in terms of colors, materials and finishes. It respects the history and tradition shared by both the Maserati and Zegna brands.
The exterior is characterized by a color specially developed for this limited edition, Platinum Silk; a special paint which, thanks to the use of very fine aluminum pigments, blends the fluid, pure character of metal with the softness of silk, creating a visual impression of absolute depth. The Platinum Silk color is tinted with a soft, warm hue, giving it a classic, sober yet technical and sophisticated look. In addition, the sparkling liquid effect of the exterior color emphasizes the lines of the bodywork and highlights the car’s surface changes and volumes.

This special color is also found on the elegant 20-inch Mercurio wheels, on which the chrome finish accentuates the sporty look. The aluminum brake calipers have been hand-polished for a distinctive shine. The car features a personalized Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition plaque on the center pillar.
If the exterior is exclusive and elegant, the interior of the Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition is no less breathtaking, with a cabin featuring new tones inspired by the warm, classic tones of mocha – a modern version of dark brown – and grège – a delicate union of light grey and sand. Leather has been combined with silk to create a chic, sophisticated look inspired by the fabrics in the Zegna men’s collection. The fine leather covers the interior in a combination of mocha and greige, perfectly balanced by contrasting topstitching that enhances the entire dashboard and the upper part of the doors. In various areas, leather is combined with Ermenegildo Zegna fabrics, revised especially for the car, while retaining the brand’s haute couture savoir-faire. A magnificent Jersey grège silk fiber, specially developed by Ermenegildo Zegna, has been selected to enhance the car’s wide roof, including the sun visors. The designer’s exclusive label is affixed. This distinctive feature is also a subtle way of showing Maserati customers the attention to detail that went into the design and creation of all the equipment.
The same fabric is used on the central door panel, enriched by the stitching, while the upper pillars are covered in Alcantara grège.
The seats of this Quattroporte are covered in an exclusive silk herringbone fabric that blends with the leather. This luminous fabric, with its soft, satiny feel, was carefully crafted by the renowned Zegna mill in Trivero, and covers the central part of the seat and backrest. The main challenge at the outset of the project was really to develop a “Zegna” fabric for the automobile that would retain the look of a men’s garment in line with the haute couture tradition, but also the characteristic feel, softness, silkiness and refinement of a Zegna fabric.
Complementing the unique fabric created for the Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition, matched with warm shades of mocha and grège, are unique chrome-plated surfaces thanks to a distinctive satin finish.
The attention to detail is visible on every part of the vehicle, from the “Limited Edition One of 100” plaque to the exclusive burr walnut mouldings.
Ermenegildo Zegna has also designed an exclusive Owner’s Collection kit to be sold with the car, containing a wide assortment of 19 leather goods and personal accessories. All these delicate items are the result of a careful study of the concept behind this collaboration, corresponding to the expectations of a refined clientele.
In addition to the exclusive features designed and developed especially for this limited edition, and the generous standard equipment of each Quattroporte, each of the 100 Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition models includes various elements designed to provide the utmost pleasure in terms of comfort and refinement.
The car features a sunroof, a ventilation function for the front seats and four-zone air conditioning for rear passengers, for maximum on-board comfort.
In terms of audio, the car features the exclusive Bowers&Wilkins Premium Sound System with 15 speakers, a powerful subwoofer, a 1,280 W amplifier and Quantum Logic Surround technology.
Steel pedals with rubber inserts, a removable ashtray cup in the front cupholder and a compact 18″ spare wheel in the trunk complete the standard equipment.
The hood of the Maserati Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition houses the powerful 530 hp twin-turbo V8, capable of propelling the car to 307 km/h and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds, with an impressive maximum torque of 710 Nm.
