Thursday, March 20, 2014, Pierre Hermé and Relais Desserts members invite you to the 9th edition of Jour Du Macaron.
To mark the occasion, Pierre Hermé and over 80 pastry chefs from Relais Desserts are joining forces in support of the Vaincre la Mucoviscidose association. Passionate and motivated by the noble cause they are defending, the pastry chefs will give free rein to their creativity to develop new recipes and create new flavors, sure to delight your taste buds!
For this day of solidarity, everyone will be invited to make a donation to the association, in exchange for a macaroon of their choice. In addition to the donations collected, and as every year, Pierre Hermé Paris will donate a percentage of sales generated in all its boutiques, and the Relais Desserts association will donate the sum of €5,000.
Volunteers from the Vaincre la Mucoviscidose association will be on hand in partner stores to welcome customers and raise their awareness of the operation.
Cystic fibrosis is a rare genetic disease that mainly affects the respiratory and digestive systems. When the Vaincre la Mucoviscidose association was founded in 1965, life expectancy for sufferers was 7 years. Today, thanks to the generosity of the public and the association’s actions, life expectancy at birth is closer to 50 years!
