Nestled in the heart of the Bois de Boulogne, the Chalet des Iles is the place to go for a change of scenery. This winter, the establishment is offering a Sunday brunch in a mountain-style setting. So put on your skis and go for it!
On the opposite bank, we discover the site: a pavilion dating back to the 19th century. We take a boat for a few minutes to reach the restaurant. A charming little stroll. We enter a space that resembles a mountain chalet, with a cable car cabin installed for the occasion. Skis hang on the wall and the decor is a real success, with comfortable sofas and wooden furniture.
The establishment offers a full brunch for 42 euros, with classic fare: viennoiseries, homemade jams, bread, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and a small assortment of desserts including tarts. The atmosphere is very pleasant. A small playlist of Motown tunes in the background gives the place an energetic feel. A restaurant upstairs is also very cosy, with large sofas.
