After nineteen years at Cartier, Yanina Novitskaya will take the helm of Delvaux on 1 December 2026. Her mandate combines international development with the preservation of a distinct identity.
The move from Cartier to Delvaux changes the scale of the leadership question. On 28 September, Richemont announced the appointment of Yanina Novitskaya as Chief Executive Officer of the Belgian Maison, effective 1 December 2026. She will be based in Brussels and will report to Philippe Fortunato, head of the group’s Fashion & Accessories Maisons.
International experience placed at the service of a specific Maison
Novitskaya spent nineteen years at Cartier, up to the management of Southeast Asia and Oceania. Richemont has tasked her with continuing international growth and strengthening the positioning and appeal of Delvaux products. The press release also thanks Jean-Marc Loubier for his transformation of the Maison.
The file recalls a network of fifty boutiques and manufacturing organised between Belgium and two French workshops. Founded in Brussels in 1829, Delvaux thus has a history and a productive structure that its commercial development will have to keep making comprehensible.
Passing on methods without standardising places
Experience of an international network can help organise responsibilities, read markets and support teams. It does not automatically determine the form each boutique should take. A management method is useful only if it leaves intact specific reasons to choose this Maison rather than another.
This is where the appointment becomes interesting. The point is not only to extend a geographical presence: it is to align the expectations of the network, the collections offered and the capacity of the workshops. Growth poorly coordinated with manufacturing would make it harder to demonstrate the craftsmanship on which the positioning rests.
