A vintage event will be held on Thursday June 25, providing an opportunity to explore the history of this ever-growing trend.
Drouot Formation and the Mairie du 9e arrondissement de Paris have teamed up to offer, from January to June 2015, a monthly evening event focusing on art and its market.
Free, no-registration conferences, open to all, by Drouot experts on themes as varied as jewelry, contemporary design, the wine market, vintage fashion and street art… all specialities widely represented at Hôtel Drouot.
The aim of this partnership is to offer as many people as possible, art lovers and the uninitiated alike, access to top-quality talks given by top-level professionals, and to highlight the diversity of our collections.
Françoise Sternbach will present the evolution of vintage from the 70s to the present day. Her experience with various French auction houses and her participation in various Vintage Shows will support her remarks.
Chombert & Sternbach, which she founded in 1989, pioneered auctions of furs, luxury leather goods, couture jewelry, vintage fashion and Haute-Couture.
