Born in South Korea, Zio Song, founder and creative director of the Songzio brand, has been presenting his collections at Paris Fashion Week since 1999. For Paris men’s fashion week autumn winter 2016-2017, Songzio invited us to the VIIIth arrondissement, in a mysterious and intriguing atmosphere, in a room bathed in red light.
The collection gave us the image of a modern-day samurai: the silhouettes were ample yet elegant, with long, wraparound coats, extra-wide pants, pantacourts worn over black tights, trench coats, blazers and turtlenecks. The dominant color of the collection is black, combined with a brighter hue: vermilion red (the collection’s flagship color, and the name of the show is “Vermilion Hue”), dark blue, fir green and purple. There were also outfits entirely in gray and black.
