Heading for the West Coast: Mouton Cadet unveils its new Rosé Bio

In March 2021, Baron Philippe de Rothschild launched its first Mouton Cadet Bio in red. One year later, the brand signs a new organic reference in the collection. Mouton Cadet reveals a new Organic Rosé, developed in a style inspired by the art of living on the West Coast, with respect for the Bordeaux terroir, its richness and the know-how of the men and women who cultivate it. Bathed in sunshine, the West Coast features long sandy beaches bordered by dunes and pine forests, punctuated by fishing villages, surf spots and islands that transport us to a new-found freedom. Belle-Île-en-Mer, Île de Ré, Île aux Oiseaux and Cap Ferret, as well as Biarritz, La Rochelle, Capbreton and Bordeaux, all boast a savoir vivre that inspired Mouton Cadet. Its sunny, oceanic, lively and wild character is expressed in Mouton Cadet Rosé Bio, as evidenced by its label. Contemporary, this first vintage was written by the whole family, and particularly by the younger generation.

Fresh and delicious

Under the impetus of a young generation of winegrowers, the Bordeaux rosé signature has become clearer, giving birth to a new wave of light, lively rosés. They are subtle, fruity and as fresh as the ocean. This sensation of oceanic freshness is above all the reflection of terroir and the fruit of great expertise. With the first rays of sunshine, Mouton Cadet Rosé Bio will be the ideal companion for an aperitif that continues into a beautiful summer evening, for moments of friendship and conviviality.

A CERTIFIED ORGANIC AND VEGAN WINE

Mouton Cadet Rosé Bio has been specially developed for its fruitiness and freshness, and always with respect for terroir and people. Once again, this creation is the result of a wonderful human encounter: Mouton Cadet’s oenologists, together with 9 of our partner winegrowers, have rigorously selected 25 hectares of organically-farmed vineyards. This new reference, certified Organic and Vegan, meets the ambition of transforming the vineyard towards a more responsible viticulture.

A fresh, modern rosé

The 2021 vintage is marked by a wide variety of weather conditions: a mild, wet winter, frosts in spring and a hot, dry summer. It’s a late vintage, which gives this rosé a palette of delicious, vibrant flavors. Produced using the direct pressing technique, Mouton Cadet Rosé Bio is an explosion of fruit and freshness on the palate, made possible by the blend of 4 grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon.
