Naturally fragrant and explosive on the palate, Fine Blanche® is the genuine article that gave its name to the Blanche d’Armagnac category. It is an original creation by Patrick de Montal, the godfather of white Armagnac.
It’s on the Lectoure plateau, in the heart of the confidential Haut-Armagnac terroir, that Château Arton has been crafting its eaux-de-vies for over 35 years. In 1985, Patrick de Montal broke with tradition and interrupted the classic Armagnac production process to turn the eau-de-vie flowing from the still into a spirit: Fine Blanche®.
The strength of this eau-de-vie lies at the heart of its distillation process. Unlike other spirits, which are flavored, Fine Blanche® preserves the fruity aromas of the wine and the year from which it is made. Each stage in the production process is integrated into the estate, allowing the story of the vintage to be told in the purity of its youth.
The clay and limestone soils of Haut-Armagnac provide a rich, light, mineral palette of aromas, which can be found in both the grapes and the Domaine Arton wines.
A visionary, Patrick de Montal launched his Fine Blanche® in 1986, creating a whole new category of Armagnac: blanche d’Armagnac. It was awarded the Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée in 2005. It is the youngest French AOC in the world of spirits.
With Fine Blanche®, Château Arton brings a breath of fresh air to Gascony. The de Montal family’s ambition is to be visionary and modern, while inscribing Armagnac in the culture of wine.
Each vintage of FINE BLANCHE® reveals a unique and incomparable aromatic profile, just like the finest wines.
For the festive season, Château Arton unveils the new bottling of Fine Blanche®: a modern bottle in the image of this unique spirit.
