In the Coppola family, we already knew Francis Ford, the unavoidable, and of course Sofia. The latter’s niece, Gia, has just released a poetic film in the purest Coppola tradition.
Adapted from the novel by James Franco (who also stars in the film), “Palo Alto” recounts the intersecting destinies of several teenagers living in the chic suburbs of Los Angeles. From the Emma Roberts character who flirts with her gym teacher, to the boy convicted of petty crimes, to the girl who sleeps with every guy in her high school out of a lack of recognition, this magnificent film portrays a generation in need of guidance.
With its breathtaking aesthetics and top-notch soundtrack, Gia Coppola’s first feature film is a great success.
