This winter, the Château de Versailles is simultaneously presenting two new exhibitions that we were able to visit:

    • at the Château, the exhibitionVisitors to Versailles” showcases the travelers, princes and ambassadors who visited Versailles between 1682 and 1789. Until February 25, 2018, the Château de Versailles is presenting an exhibition that shows how, as early as the reign of Louis XIV, visitors of all origins and distinctions were already flocking to this palace open to all.

  • in the gardens, “Winter Journey “On the occasion of the “Winter Journey” exhibition, Versailles opens its gardens to seventeen artists for a contemporary stroll through the poetry of its groves. The itinerary has been conceived as a journey through an open-air museum, beginning as October rustles the vegetation with new hues and ending in the pale glow of winter. For its tenth edition, the contemporary art exhibition was conceived in conjunction with the Palais de Tokyo. Curated by Jean de Loisy, Rebecca Lamarche-Vadel, Yoann Gourmel and Alfred Pacquement, the exhibition runs until January 7, every day except Mondays, from 10 a.m. to dusk.
